December is the month of Christmas and New Year with various Christmas fairs and festivities throughout Istria. There are also many culinary events, such as Adriatic Squid Days and wine tasting. • UMAGic Holidays in Umag (December 19 to 31): Festive ambiance overtakes Umag’s streets with various delightful events and concerts. Taste the fritule and warm up with a glass of the warm and flavorful mulled wine, and shop for local hand-made Christmas gifts.
• HoHoHo! Run (December 26): Charity race in Umag.
• New Year Eve (December 31): New year celebrations throughout Istria.
